According to the website, to highlight the most popular cuisines on the planet, CNN asked its readers to vote for their favourite culinary destination in an open poll on Facebook.

In an article titled ‘Which destination has the world’s best food?’ posted on CNN’s website, the piece describes the spectrum of Vietnamese dishes is surprisingly refined and diverse for such a small country.

It said that each city, even each village, may have its own list of unique local specialty cuisine. .

Vietnamese fried spring roll is one of the Asian foods that is on people’s minds these days.

“Featuring a crispy shell with a soft veggie and meat filling, they’re dunked in a tangy sauce,” says the website.

Rounding out the list of top 10, includes beef noodles of Taiwan, adobo of the Philippines, Parmigiano-reggiano of Italy, fried chicken of Thailand, Kobe beef kaiseki of Japan, laksa of Malaysia, Gun Tong Gau of Hong Kong, Bengali thala  of India, and grilled kebab of Greece.
